CONTE HELPS BRING AWARENESS TO AUTISM ”


Assemblyman Jim Conte (R,C,I,WF-Huntington Station) presents an Assembly Resolution proclaiming April as Autism Awareness Month in New York State at the Coalition of Health and Wellness in the Early Years Public Forum on Autism recently held at the DeMatteis Center at St. Francis Hospital.

Assemblyman Conte, a member of the Assembly Republican Task Force on Autism, has sponsored legislation to allow the state to do an in-depth study on the number of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD’s), provide training to school personnel on how to interact with children with autism, and provide recreation and social outlets for children and respite programs for families.
